Isn’t she beautiful, I love photographing this age. I remember being this age, how akward it is, how hard it can be, I wanted to write more about it, but somehow it doesn’t seem to matter anymore. Just like I can tell by the gleem of confidance in her eyes, I don’t think it will matter much to her either. I’d like to believe she’ll be one of the lucky girls, who are unfazed by the turmoil of life as a teenager, that she will skate through it with self acceptance and confidance of a girl who knows what’s really important in life.
I know you’re thinking who in their right mind would be exicted to babysit, right? Well it was great for two reasons
1. It was a really good reminder of just how hard it is to take care of little busy ones, so every once in awhile when I get that achey baby craving feeling, this is a perfect reminder for me, that they are ALOT of hard work!
2. Look at who I got to babysit! Isn’t she just a doll!

Are they cute or what? Poor, B. her silly guy J. couldn’t be serious for 2 seconds, I think he gets more sympathy than her!

But at least he shared the ice cream with her.

Seriously though, these are just the funny ones, we have so many beautiful pictures, but a little too personal for the blog, these two really were so adorably fun, and gorgeous, can you imagine how cute their baby is going to be!
Not only do I get to do a job that i am so passioniate about, but I am continually learning and growing, often times I am learning vaulable lessons from my clients, whether they realize it or not.
So you may be wondering what the new vaulable lesson is that I’ve recently learned? hmm lot’s of them,
1. when it’s monsoon season my normally lovely studio, turns into a sauna.
2. I talk way too much.
3. I need to keep way better snacks on hand for pregnant mommies.
I was recently reminded that our own perception of ourselves and our comfort levels can drastically change when someone is pointing a camera at us, especially when were half nakkie!
I guess that it is easy for me to forget since I am always the one behind the camera (ya don’t think that was a conincidience, do ya?)
Even the most stunningly beautiful women become self concious, and nerveous with a camera pointing in their direction. I think I really needed to be reminded of that right now, because sometimes I do forget, and I dont want to forget.
I don’t ever want to forget how vunerable we all feel as human beings. I don’t ever wan’t to forget what an awesome responsibility I have, when people trust me and let me into their lives for just a moment, when they drop their guarded smiles, let the walls down and let me capture the “real” them, real smiles, real laughter, real love, real kisses, real moments, real life!
What a blessing. Thank you, to all my clients.

One of my closest and best friends, Pam and her daughters, came to visit me recently and of course I had to drag them into the studio. After all the fun, and hanging out was over, I was sad to see them all go and realized not only am I blessed to have a wonderful friendship with Pam, but I am also blessed to have know and shared with her girls since they were in diapers, I love them like my own and miss them too! We also had a blast playing dress up, I’ll be sure to share those pictures later, and hopefully E. won’t shoot me for sharing them!
Mother’s and daughter’s share a special bond
